About us

Actually Curious is a conversation card game and a movement to spread empathy, created as a tool to build deeper connections between friends and family, and even to yourself, using approachable question prompts.

The four Actually Curious decks include contributions and input from psychologists, journalists, crisis negotiators, game developers, pop culture creators, human rights and industry experts.

Actually Curious has generated quite a bit of buzz and press over the past few years, even getting a shout-out from Beyoncé on her Black Parade list, and has catalyzed a whole movement around empathy. The game, its creator Michael A. Tennant, and the workshop and events the game has inspired, have been featured in major lifestyle and wellness publications like the New York Times, Well + Good, Forbes, Cosmopolitan, Refinery29 among the list of features.

Give it a try and find out for yourself: playing a fun (and competitive - if you want) card game can actually be a surprisingly effective way to open up and delve into important topics that shape our world today.
